3 years agoTampa Bay Rays designated hitter Nelson Cruz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The 41-year-old is hitting .184 (7-for-38) with two home runs, three RBI, and 12 strikeouts since being acquired by the Rays on July 23. Cruz will get a breather on Wednesday. Austin Meadows is batting fourth and will handle designated hitter duties for Wednesday's matinee. Meadows is locked in at the plate right now, hitting .368 (7-for-19) with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs scored over his last five games.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
