Nelson Cruz Collects Three Hits Wednesday
7 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI singles as the Mariners beat the White Sox 4-3. Cruz's active day a the plate raised his batting average up to .268 after the game, and he now has nine runs driven in through only 14 games played this season. Cruz recently returned from a sprained ankle but appears to be clicking back into a rhythm at the plate. The veteran slugger is still a premiere run producer in fantasy and should see even more opportunities than past seasons with table-setters Dee Gordon and Jean Segura now at the top of the lineup. Cruz needs to be deployed in all lineups in the coming days and a hot streak could be right around the corner.
