6 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz is in the lineup on Tuesday and will start in right field. The 38-year-old primarily does not play the field but the Mariners are desperate to keep the veteran's power in the lineup. Cruz this season is slashing .267/.352/.535 with 15 doubles, 31 home runs, 54 runs scored and 79 runs batted in. It is unclear how much Cruz is going to play over the next few days with the Mariners playing in the National League against the Padres but manager Scott Servais will roll the dice for Tuesday.
