4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Cruz supplied the offense for the Twins on Wednesday, as he was responsible for both their hits and their only run. The veteran slugger went deep in the third inning on a Lucas Giolito fastball, sending it 416 feet into right-center field at an exit velocity of 110.3 MPH. Cruz leads the Twins in runs scored, home runs, RBI and is tied for second in batting average and ranks among the top-10 sluggers in the league in barrels per plate appearance and hard-hit rate. He isn't showing signs of slowing down anytime soon, with his 41st birthday approaching in July.--Tim Capurso
