5 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a Game 1 loss to the Yankees Friday. Cruz launched a two-out solo home run vs starter James Paxton in the third inning for his 17th career postseason round-tripper. Cruz had a monster year in 2019 batting .311 with 41 homers and 108 RBI while batting in the middle of a loaded Twins offense. Despite the excellent numbers, Cruz faces a tough test Saturday when he'll face Masahiro Tanaka. Cruz has a .111 career batting average with nine strikeouts in 27 career at-bats vs the Yankees right-hander.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
