6 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz will look to shake loose of a 3-for-23 slump when the Mariners tangle with the Angels Wednesday night in Anaheim. The veteran hitter appears to simply be in a cold stretch right now but still leads the team with 22 home runs this season. Cruz has swung the bat better on the road this season, slashing .323/.408/.602 with eight doubles, nine home runs and 23 runs batted in through 34 road games. Cruz may be slumping right now but is a candidate to break out at any moment. Inserting Cruz into DFS lineups away from Safeco Field is a safe bet heading towards the end of the first half of the season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
