7 years agoSeattle Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters he does not expect outfielder Nelson Cruz (ankle) to miss time beyond his current disabled list stint, per MLB.com. The veteran designated hitter sprained his ankle and was placed on the disabled list retroactively to April 1. The Mariners offense is off to a strong start without its most prolific slugger and the team wants to make sure Cruz is completely healthy upon his return. Barring a setback, Cruz will be eligible to return to the lineup beginning April 11.--Joey C - RotoBaller
