7 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz snapped an 0-for-14 streak to begin spring training with his first home run on Friday. Cruz went 2-for-2 in the game and scored two runs for his first hits of the preseason. The early funk is nothing for fantasy owners to worry about when it comes to a veteran hitter like Cruz. Nonetheless, it is nice to see the Mariners best run producer begin to drive in some runs with just a few weeks left in spring training. Cruz heads into fantasy drafts as one of the top options at designated hitter and is a strong bet to drive in another 100 runs in 2018.--Joey C - RotoBaller
