3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortes Jr. looked very strong in a seven-inning outing Friday night, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks to the Minnesota Twins. He struck out seven batters in his second victory of the season. It's the longest outing of the year for the left-hander, who has thrown at least five innings in five consecutive starts. With a 2.56 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP, and 60 strikeouts in 56 1/3 innings, Cortes Jr. is working his way into fantasy relevance.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
