New Orleans Tabs Taysom Hill As Starting QB In Week 11
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill has been named the starter in place of Drew Brees (ribs) for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta. While Jameis Winston took over last week when Brees went down with multiple upper-body injuries, Hill has been taking all of the first-team reps in practice and will officially be under center to make his first career start at QB. Utilized this season primarily as a run-first option under center, Hill has averaged 5.5 yards per carry, having gone just 4-for-5 as a passer. Long having expressed his desire to transition back to the QB spot after years as an on-field Swiss-army knife for the Saints, Hill will get his chance to show off his chops, even if he'll be a risky season-long fantasy asset due to his lack of passing reps. Those in DFS can roll the dice on Hill having success on the ground, but fantasy managers interested in that scenario should save it for GPP formats.
