New York Tabs Daniel Jones As Starter For Week 16
4 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (ankle, hamstring) has been given the green light to play in Sunday's contest against the Ravens. Jones re-enters the starting lineup after seeing Colt McCoy hold down starter's duties in two of the previous three games. It sounds as if Jones is far from 100 percent, but his practice reps have been impressive enough to convince the Giants' coaching staff that he is healthy enough to try and help orchestrate a late postseason push for the team. Unfortunately from a fantasy perspective, Jones is facing one of the league's premier units, which doesn't not bely potential success. After struggling mightily against Arizona when he previously attempted to play through injury, Jones is an avoidable fantasy asset Sunday, although his top targets -- Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram -- should see a slight boost in appeal with Jones under center.
