4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon was traded to the New York Yankees on Sunday, giving the Yankees some added depth in a fairly weak starting rotation. Taillon has had a fairly uneven career since debuting for the Pirates in 2016, but the 29-year-old boasts a solid 3.55 FIP for his career and has been emphasizing a productive if slightly underwhelming slider (15% swinging-strike rate) over the past two seasons. Moving from PNC Park to Yankee Stadium represents a slight negative for Taillon's fantasy value, but the trade boosts his potential for wins, and fantasy managers should still expect Taillon to post an ERA around 4.00 in 2021.--Sam Chinitz
