3 years agoThe NFL salary cap for the 2022 season has been set at $208.2 million per team. It is a significant increase from last year's cap, which was set at $182.5 million per team because of projected revenue for last season and lost revenue in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 salary cap was set at $198.2 million. Quarterbacks who receive a non-exclusive franchise tag before Tuesday's deadline will receive $29.703 million next season if they don't agree to a long-term deal by July 15. Franchise-tag salaries for other positions were released as well, with running backs getting $9.570 million, wide receivers $18.4191 million and tight ends $10.931 million, among others.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
