4 years agoThe official number for the 2021 NFL salary cap is in at it lands at $182.5 million. It's a decent drop from last year's $198.2 million mark and is going to make it difficult for general managers this season, but it's not as low as it potentially could have been after the league saw a huge revenue drop amidst the global coronavirus pandemic. In terms of on-field impact, less available money tends to hurt non-star veteran players the most, as teams will save money by signing more unproven young talent. It'll also be interesting to see how this cap figure impacts the running back market, as those players were already trending down in terms of perceived value.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
