4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (knee) was activated from the injured list on Saturday, and in a corresponding move Geraldo Perdomo was optioned to the team's alternate site, according to Zach Buchanan of The Athletic. Ahmed opened the season on the injured list while dealing with patellar tendinitis in his right knee. He is in the starting lineup Saturday and will be batting seventh against the Cincinnati Reds. Ahmed didn't look very sharp this spring, but he has shown he can provide solid pop and get on base at a high rate with a .306 OBP and .421 SLG over the last four seasons.
