Nick Boyle Gets Starting Nod At Tight End
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle is slated to be the Week 1 starter against the Buffalo Bills. Boyle has worked with the first-team unit on a regular basis since rookie Hayden Hurst suffered a stress fracture in his foot on Aug. 24. While the fourth-year pro has good hands, he is more of a pass blocker than a receiving threat. Boyle reeled in 28 passes on 37 targets for 203 yards in 15 games last year. He has 52 receptions in 32 career games. Backups Mark Andrews and Maxx Williams will also likely see an increase in snaps against the Bills. Both are better fantasy football options than Boyle. However, none of the Ravens tight ends should be considered for fantasy lineups until it becomes apparent how many snaps each tight end earns. Andrews and perhaps Hurst are at least worth keeping an eye on as possible streaming options later in the year.
