Nick Lodolo Fails To Make It Through Five Innings
2 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo wasn't his sharpest in Thursday's Field Of Dreams Game as he gave up four runs over 4 2/3 IP in the 4-2 loss to the Cubs. The 24-year-old recorded two quick outs to begin the ballgame, but the Cubs were still able to rally for three runs before the inning was over. Lodolo would go on to allow another run in the fourth before leaving with the bases in the fifth, but thankfully the bullpen was able to strand his runners. He finished the game with seven hits allowed and a 6/4 K/BB as he continues to have an up-and-down rookie campaign. He'll take a 4.72 ERA and 1.66 WHIP with 64 K through 47 2/3 IP into his next scheduled start versus the Phillies next week.
