3 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed rookie left-hander Nick Lodolo (back) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a lower back strain and activated third baseman Mike Moustakas (biceps) from the injured list in a corresponding move. It's unclear what the Reds will do for a fifth starter with Lodolo sidelined. Lodolo will be eligible to return as soon as May 5, but it's unclear if that will happen. The young southpaw struggled in his MLB debut, but overall he's been solid with a 3.37 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 15:2 K:BB in 10 2/3 innings in his last two starts. Moustakas will serve as the designated hitter and bat seventh on Thursday against San Diego Padres right-hander Nick Martinez. The 33-year-old still feels his biceps injury when throwing, so he's expected to stay off the field for at least another couple of days.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
