2 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell said that left-hander Nick Lodolo (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session in a few days. Lodolo is currently on the 10-day injured list with a lower-back strain, but he's making progress. The 24-year-old southpaw probably won't be back for at least another couple weeks. Before the injury, he had allowed nine earned runs on 18 hits while walking five and striking out 19 in 14 2/3 innings over his first three major league starts. Lodolo has plenty of long-term upside, but it remains to be seen if he'll even have a rotation spot to return to in Cincinnati now that veteran left-hander Mike Minor (shoulder) is set for his season debut this upcoming Friday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
