4 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal is getting a routine day of rest versus the Minnesota Twins on Thursday. Madrigal is having a nice season with a .295 batting average and 11 RBI, but he has been in a bit of a funk with five hits over his last 23 at-bats. Madrigal doesn't offer power, but he is a steady source for managers seeking hits and batting average. Utility man Leury Garcia will replace Madrigal on Thursday and bat eighth versus Michael Pineda.
