Nick Madrigal Exits Early On Monday
5 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal (head) exited Monday’s contest early with a head injury. Madrigal was playing defense and dove for a grounder that hit off of his head. Madrigal was diagnosed with a bruise above his left eyebrow, but the good news is that he didn’t show any signs of a concussion. The former first-round pick is competing for the White Sox second base job against Leury Garcia. Madrigal is expected to make his debut in 2020 and it is worth keeping an eye on. The second baseman is a contact hitter with a high ceiling who should be owned in dynasty leagues. His ceiling also makes him an intriguing option in redraft leagues. Madrigal hit .311 with four home runs, 55 RBI and 35 stolen bases in 120 games between Single-A and Triple-A in 2019.
