3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Nick Maton has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. It is a bit of an odd move considering the organization didn't announce a corresponding move along with Maton to the minors. He slashed .255/.296/.373 with a pair of homers, and eight RBI during his first stint in the MLB. Maton didn't offer much fantasy value, but appeared to be a useful option off the bench in Philly. There is a good chance that Maton gets an opportunity before the season is over.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
