6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens has an opportunity to firm his grip on the starting gig in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Proving his command of the offense after two starts, Mullens faces a Bucs defense second-worst in defensive DVOA and yards per pass attempt (8.4). The Niners should have a balanced attack with a healthy Matt Breida and if Mullens can fend off Tampa Bay’s decent pass rush, he could uncork some big plays.
