3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie pitcher Nick Neidert provided four scoreless innings of relief in Thursday's loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Neidert had just been called up from Triple-A before the game and was needed after a short four inning start from Sandy Alcantara. In Neidert's four innings, he allowed just three hits and no walks while striking out two. It was an impressive performance at just the right time, as the Marlins bullpen has been overworked of late. Neidert's future is likely in the bullpen in a role like this one, making him mostly irrelevant in most fantasy leagues.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
