Nick Pivetta Fails To Escape Fifth Inning
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nick Pivetta couldn't escape the fifth inning Monday, exiting the game against the Marlins after 4 2/3 innings pitched. Pivetta was fortunate to allow just two runs on seven hits and three walks. He struck out six batters. Pivetta has been solid through his first 12 starts of the season, with a 3.78 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 74 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings. He's worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters, but he isn't a weekly lock in starting lineups.
