3 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Nick Pratto was promoted to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com. Pratto was having a career-year at Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he was slashing .279/.408/.586 with 15 homers, seven steals, 43 RBI and 43 runs scored over 58 games. He heads to Omaha along with teammate Bobby Witt Jr., who was also promoted to Triple-A on Sunday. Witt is likely the closer of the two to reaching Kansas City, but it's entirely possible we see neither one of them getting the call to the show in 2021. The most likely scenario for Pratto is that he competes for a spot on the roster out of Spring Training next year. Managers should keep an eye on how Pratto performs at the next level through the rest of this season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
