Nick Senzel Dealing With Sprained Ankle
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Cincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain. The rookie outfielder suffered the injury while slamming into the outfield wall trying to make a catch on Sunday against the Cleveland Indians. The injury was initially believed to be to his knee but the team learned more about his status following the game. According to manager David Bell, there's a chance Senzel could avoid a stay on the injured list with the All-Star break beginning on Monday. Senzel's fantasy owners appear to have dodged a bullet on this one as the injury appears to be minor. Senzel is hitting .263 with eight homers, 33 runs, 27 RBI, and eight steals in his rookie season.
