4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel (shoulder) left the Opening Day matchup early with a left shoulder injury, according to C. Trent Rosencrans of The Athletic. Senzel made a diving catch to rob Cardinals' third baseman Nolan Arenado of a hit in the top of the fourth inning, and according to Cincinnati Enquirer photographer Sam Greene, Senzel rolled over his left shoulder during the play. Senzel finished the half inning in the field, but was replaced by pinch hitter Tyler Naquin in the bottom of the fourth. There are no details yet as to the type or severity of the injury, but considering Senzel's injury-plagued past, managers are not happy to see him suffer yet another one in the first game of the year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
