Nick Senzel Front-Runner For Starting CF Spot

5 years agoAccording to MLB.com, Cincinnati Reds prospect Nick Senzel is considered the favorite to win the starting center field job out of spring training. Senzel is putting together a fine spring, batting .389 with three runs, three RBI, and one steal in 18 at-bats. The former No. 6 overall draft pick has dealt with assorted injuries over his minor league career but he has the ability to be an impact bat in mixed fantasy leagues, especially in a revamped Cincinnati lineup. Senzel's primary competition comes from veteran Scott Schebler, who has been mostly a right fielder over his career. Keep an eye on this positional battle as Senzel would be a solid sleeper in fantasy drafts if he wins the job.--Matt T - RotoBaller
