6 years agoCincinnati Reds third base prospect Nick Senzel (elbow) needs surgery to remove bone spurs in his left elbow, which will keep him out for four to six weeks. It's a setback, as Senzel was hoping to get repetitions in the outfield in the Arizona Fall League, but he is expecting to be 100 percent healthy for spring training next year. The team's top prospect is also ranked sixth in all of baseball. He missed the first two months of the minor league season with a fractured right index finger and also missed almost a month in May with vertigo, so he's somewhat developing an injury-prone label. Still, he hit .310 with a .378 on-base percentage with six homers and 25 RBI in 44 games for Triple-A Louisville and he should be up with the Reds early next season if he can stay healthy. Senzel should already be owned in most dynasty/keeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
