3 years agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Nick Vannett is expected to miss two to four weeks after sustaining a knee injury in Monday's preseason contest against the Jaguars. Vannett has had a modest six seasons in the NFL and has been hopping around teams the past few seasons. The 28-year-old signed with the Saints this offseason and is expected to be behind Adam Trautman, who also sustained an ankle injury in Monday's contest (though not a serious injury), on the depth chart. For now, Vannett may be out for the first few games of the season at the worst. In the meantime, if Adam Trautman also can't suit up for Week 1, expect Juwan Johnson to lead this TE group into the regular season.--Rishi Patel - RotoBaller
