Nick Delmonico Out 4-6 Weeks With Hand Fracture
6 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Nick Delmonico has been diagnosed with a fracture of the third metacarpal on his right hand, according to the team's official Twitter account. Right now the team is estimating that Delmonico will miss four-to-six weeks of action. Delmonico was lifted from Friday's game after being hit by a pitch. Delmonico owners in all but the deepest of leagues should feel free to cut him with this news, as his 2018 OPS is a measly .635. The injury leaves the White Sox organizational depth in the outfield very thin. Look for a combination of Leury Garcia, Trayce Thompson, and Daniel Palka to pick up the slack for the time being. The team is also planning on giving utility man Yolmer Sanchez some looks in the outfield as well.
