3 years agoNew Jersey Devils center Nico Hischier (leg) will not suit up for the team's season opener on Thursday. The former first-overall pick hurt himself while training overseas in Switzerland. Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald is confident in Hischier's progress, which suggests he may be back during the season's first week. The 22-year-old tallied 36 points in 58 games last season and would immediately be the Devils top scoring threat upon return.
