3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Nico Hoerner (hamstring) could be reinstated ahead of the series finale against the Reds. The 24-year-old has been out for nearly five weeks after suffering a left hamstring strain. He is now with the team in Cincinnati after spending time at Triple-A Iowa, so things are looking promising regarding his availability on Sunday. Hoerner has played well this season, batting .338 to go along with 25 hits, with seven doubles, nine RBI, and three stolen bases.
