4 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner left Tuesday's contest in the top of the sixth inning. Hoerner was trying to beat out an infield hit and came up lame with what appeared to hamstring related. Hoerner was on the ground for a good amount of time, but was able to walk off on his own. More should be known on the status of Hoerner as the evening goes on. Hoerner was 2-for-3 in the contest and raised his batting average to .338 for the season. If Hoerner misses time, infielder David Bote and second baseman Eric Sogard would be the beneficiaries. Both can be left on the wire. Sogard replaced Hoerner in the bottom of the sixth inning.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
