3 years agoForward Nico Sturm will be in the lineup for the Colorado Avalanche on Friday against the San Jose Sharks. This will be Sturm's first game with the Avs since being acquired in a trade that sent Tyson Jost to the Minnesota Wild. Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar told the media on Friday morning he plans to start the German center on the third line between Alex Newhook and J.T. Compher. Sturm has already matched his points from last season at 17 (nine goals, eight assists) but it is unclear right now how his offensive production will evolve on a high-scoring Colorado team. --Chelena Goldman
