Niko Goodrum Leaves With Groin Injury
3 years agoDetroit Tigers utility man Niko Goodrum left Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles with a groin strain, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. He was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI before his exit. Goodrum, who was reinstated from the injured list on August 10, has had a miserable year at the plate, hitting .224 with a .348 slugging, six home runs, and 12 stolen bases. He doesn't offer much fantasy value, with the only category he contributes to being stolen bases. He should only be rostered in very deep and AL-only leagues, but if he has to take another trip to the IL, don't be afraid to let him go.
