5 years agoTampa Bay Lightning right winger Nikita Kucherov scored his 12th goal of the season and extended his point streak to five consecutive games in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals. The 26-year-old used his quick release to rip the puck past Capitals netminder Braden Holtby at the ten-minute mark of the third period. Kucherov's goal would be the extent of the damage done as the Lightning would fail to produce any additional scoring on the night. Kucherov has recorded six points in his past five games, with two goals and four assists over the course of that span. Through 33 games, Kucherov has totaled 12 goals, 25 assists and 37 points — making him a must-start player in all formats.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
