3 years agoCarolina Hurricanes winger Nino Niederreiter provided two goals in Thursday's 5-3 win over Detroit, opening the scoring early with a power-play marker and notching the game-winner in the third period. He led the team with five shots in nearly 20 minutes of ice time. The Swiss wingers skated on the first line with Vincent Trocheck and Martin Necas after a number of key forwards were added to the COVID-19 list. It looks like Niederreiter will stay there for a while and it will give him a good opportunity to boost his scoring numbers.
