No Offensive Support For Chris Bassitt
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed three earned runs, seven hits and a walk with nine strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings in a hard-luck 3-0 loss against the Cincinnati Reds. He threw 69 of his 93 pitches for strikes and had 19 first-pitch strikes against the 29 batters he faced, posting his second quality start over the past three outings. Despite the loss he is now 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 0.97 WHIP, emerging as a solid fantasy option in most AL-only leagues and some deeper mixed formats while running hot. His next scheduled start is set for Tuesday in Seattle.
