2 years agoOakland Athletics skipper Mark Kotsay said that an MRI exam showed no structural damage for rookie relief pitcher Dany Jimenez (shoulder), but the team will be cautious and make sure he's 100% before returning to action. The A's will now go with matchups to close out games, and relievers A.J. Puk and Zach Jackson were mentioned by Kotsay as options to fill Jimenez's closer role while he's out. Jimenez was placed on the injured list on Tuesday, but he needs to remain stashed in all fantasy leagues, as he's saved 11 of his 13 chances in 2022.
