2 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (oblique) was given no timetable for a return from manager Tony La Russa ahead of Saturday's game versus Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a Grade 1 oblique strain ahead of Opening Day last week and the original timeline was three weeks, but La Russa stated that he's still feeling "discomfort on moves needed for defense." The team can afford to take it slow with Moncada this early in the season, but it's not a great sign that the next step in his recovery has been delayed. Managers should continue to hang on to Moncada as he'll look to rebound after a disappointing 2021 campaign.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
