6 years agoNew York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard (finger) has been on the disabled list with a strained finger since May 26, but he has been steadily progressing in his rehab. The flame-throwing lefty is projected to throw a bullpen session over the weekend, which would be his first mound workout since he suffered a setback on June 7. While there is still no timetable for his return, the fact that there is some progression is welcomed news for fantasy owners. Syndergaard has a 4-1 record on the season with a 3.06 ERA, 1.175 WHIP and 10.6 K/9 through 11 starts. Syndergaard has a long history of injuries, so the Mets are understandably taking their time with the ace, but at least this is another step in the right direction.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
