Noah Syndergaard Focusing On Lean Workouts
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard, who missed four months in 2017 with a torn lat muscle, is doing a vastly different workout routine this year that is focused on athleticism instead of bulking up. "I'm trying to become more athletic overall and doing the right kind of lifts," said the leaner Syndergaard. "It's lifting with proper form and making sure your core is involved. It's turning on certain muscles that haven't been activated in a while. I became very lat-dominant. I'm trying to activate muscles that are going on in my back." Thor's skills are elite, but his health hasn't cooperated so far for fantasy owners, making him a high-risk, high-reward top-tier fantasy starting pitcher.
