7 years agoThe odds were in favor of New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard having a big day against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday, and he certainly did not disappoint. Thor threw seven innings, earning the win by allowing only one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out seven. Sunday marks the second consecutive outing Syndergaard punched out seven. It was a big step in the right direction for Thor, who has been good – but slightly underwhelming in 2018. Amazingly, it was only his second start of the season where he both threw six innings and struck out seven or more. Syndergaard has a more difficult matchup in Milwaukee against the Brewers on Friday, but you’re starting him regardless of matchup.--John Smith
