Noah Syndergaard Placed On Disabled List
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (finger) was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 26. Syndergaard is dealing with a strained ligament in his right index finger. Thor underwent some testing after complaining of soreness, and evidently this is the result. As of now, we do not have a timetable as for when he’ll pitch again and/or be fully recovered. It’s yet another injury blow for the Mets, who are now down to ace Jacob deGrom as the only consistent and competent arm in their rotation. It also remains unclear as to who will take Syndergaard’s spot in the rotation, though one would have to think relievers Seth Lugo or Robert Gsellman would be prime candidates.
