Noah Syndergaard Shines in Win over Marlins
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard threw six innings of one-run ball, allowing just five hits while striking out five in a 4-2 win over the Marlins. New York has now won six straight and tied their best start in franchise history at 8-1. The victory moved Syndergaard to 2-0 on the season with a 3.94 ERA. The five punchouts give Syndergaard 22 for the season, tied for seventh most in the entire league. Syndergaard's next start will come on Sunday, April 15, against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Mets ace has gone 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA and a 16/1 K/BB ratio against the Brewers in his career.
