Noah Syndergaard Throws Simulated Game
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (finger) threw 50 pitches in a simulated game on Tuesday at the team’s spring training complex in Florida. Assuming Thor emerged unscathed, he’ll likely up his efforts to a minor league rehab game in a few days. After that, one would assume the next step would be returning to the big league rotation, potentially about 10 days away from now. Originally only supposed to miss a couple of starts due to a strained ligament in his right index finger, Syndergaard instead has missed well over a month now after hitting the disabled list on May 26. He was having a very good, if not a bit underwhelming season, before going down with a 3.06 ERA and 76:13 K:BB across 64 2/3 innings pitched.
