Noah Syndergaard Throws Simulated Inning Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) threw a simulated inning on Tuesday, according to Tim Healey of Newsday Sports. Syndergaard faced shortstop Francisco Lindor and Luis Guillorme, as he pitched to live batters for the first time since May, throwing 15-20 pitches — all of which were fastballs and changeups. Syndergaard suffered a setback back in May during his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and now his best case scenario seems to be a return in mid-September. Previous reports have stated that Syndergaard will likely be used out of the bullpen upon his return, so it's unlikely he'll have a significant impact in fantasy this year.
