Nolan Arenado Not Playing Wednesday
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Arenado will get a day of rest after getting just two hits in his last four games. Overall, the 31-year-old has been very solid for fantasy managers, hitting .272/.344/.485 with an .829 OPS, 10 home runs, 39 RBI and 25 runs scored in 227 plate appearances over 54 games. He remains a must-start when he's in the lineup. Rookie Brendan Donovan gets the start at the hot corner on Wednesday and will bat fifth against Rays right-hander Corey Kluber. The 25-year-old has just one homer in his first 98 big-league bats, but he's putting bat on ball and has a .306 average and .424 on-base percentage in 36 games.
